Robin Merriam C.P.O.

 

Robin is an American Board Certified prosthetist orthotist. She and husband, Tom, moved to the Gorge and established Merriam Prosthetics Orthotics in 1990. She has since been dedicated to serving community from humble beginnings in their Oak Grove barn to their present location on the heights of Hood River.

Employed as a Practitioner in Seattle area hospitals for eight years, especially Harborview Medical Center, before moving to the Gorge. Experience includes, limb viability rounds,vascular clinics, spinal trauma care, cerebral palsy clinic.

Volunteered with Recreational therapy at U of W Rehab Dept and Skiforall adaptive ski program

 


 

Tom merriam c.ped 

 

Tom has been a certified pedorthist for over 21 years. He specializes in the fabrication of custom made foot orthotics to treat a variety of foot and biomechanical deficits, fitting of diabetic shoes and inserts, shoe modifications, and lifts for leg length discrepencies. In addition, he assists Robin in the fabrication of her custom prosthetic and orthotic devices.

 

Robin and Tom raised their 3 children in Hood River and are enjoying more time to spend in the Gorges outdoor adventure playland.
